Fit Body Rehab, specializes in Post-Injury Rehab.  Our team provides quality therapeutic care, which involves highly effective treatments such as Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Active Rehab/Kinesiology and Pool Therapy. Our therapists maintain open communication with each other as well as the physicians in order to provide the most effective therapy for full recovery and return to pre-injury state.

We provide therapeutic care for back pain, tension/trigger point headaches, sprains & strains, disc herniation, tendonitis, osteoarthritis, postural alignment as well as post-surgical rehab.  Our active rehab/pool therapy programs, which are administered by registered kinesiologists, involve strength and conditioning as well as flexibility training.  

We administer in-depth assessments and develop personalized therapy programs tailored specifically to meet the needs of our clients.  Our services are performed in our clinic.  To serve you better, we offer pool therapy programs in various community centres throughout the lower mainland.

We offer progressive, one-to-one personalized services using positive reinforcement, motivation and support to help accelerate recovery time.  Our programs are cross-culturally sensitive and involve counselling and education for the client to help them understand the importance of incorporating regular exercise into their lives to improve overall health and maintain a self-sufficient life.

Our Team

Lekha Kalnoor Kandiyil, PTBC, BPT.

Physiotherapist

Lekha is an experienced Physiotherapist with over 8 years of experience. She completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy in India in the year 2005.She had diverse experience in working at private clinics in India and canada. She incorporates an individualized treatment approach that focus on patient education, manual therapy, specific exercise prescription, home exercise program and Dry Needling. She prides herself on giving education to her clients on their condition and how they can manage their symptoms. As part of pursuing continued educational program she had successfully completed FDN level 1 from kineta core and started dry Needling in her practice.

Expertise: In treating Whiplash injuries, Musculoskeletal injuries(Ligament sprains and muscular strains, Rotator cuff, frozen Shoulder)and chronic neck and back pain cases.

Rajeeve Narayanan, BPT, MPT

Physiotherapist

Rajeeve is an Internationally trained Physiotherapist with more than 15 years of experience. He completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy in India in the year 1998 and Master of Physiotherapy in 2002.Before coming to Canada, Rajeeve worked in different medical colleges in India. During this period he worked in a variety of clinical settings which includes orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, Neurological, Geriatrics and Pediatric populations. He also had been working as Head of the Dept/Professor for more than 5 years and also as a clinical examiner for University Examinations in different states in India. Rajeeve presented and published paper in national symposium on Genetics. Treating challenging cases of low back pain is his passion. His treatment approaches includes manual therapy, client education, individualized therapeutic exercise program

Emily S.A.LIU, Dr.TCM(China), RCTMP, R.Ac.

Acupuncturist/ Dr. TCM

Dr. Emily Shao Ai Liu earned her doctorate (Dr. TCM) in China and is a registered RTCMP and R. Acupuncturist in the province of British Columbia, Canada. She obtained her PHD and Masters Degrees at the Beijing University of CM with specialization in Acupuncture and Diagnosis of CM. She has taught Acupuncture and Clinical fields at (MSU) University and currently teaches Internal Medicine, Diagnosis of CM and Herbal formula courses at ICTCMV and VCC (PCU) colleges in the Lower Mainland. Her student graduates have flourishing and very successful clinical practices in Canada and countries around the world. With 20 years of clinical experience and a passion to continually improve her knowledge and skills, Dr. Liu is a leader in the field who provides reliable, trustworthy consultation and treatment. She specializes in areas of Dysautonomia, Immune system disorder, Pain Syndromes, Car accident injuries, Sport Injuries, Cerebral Disease (stroke, sequelae of stroke, Parkinson’s…), Digestive system disorders.

Natasha combow, BSc.Kin

Kinesiologist/Rehab Coordinator

Natasha is a Simon Fraser University graduate with a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Kineisology, with a concentration in Active Health and Rehabilitation. She has been working in this industry since 2013, and thoroughly enjoys helping and motivating clients to become the best version of themselves. Natasha leads an active lifestyle by exercising regularly and hiking in the summer months. She hopes to continue motivating her clients and building meaningful connections through physical activity and exercise.

Samy Dhanju, RMT

Registered Massage Therapist

Samy recently graduated from a 2-year massage therapy program at WCCMT. His primary goal is to help patients achieve a pain-free, healthy, active life which can be achieved by educating patients to help them understand the potential underlying issues that may be creating a hindrance in their recovery. Having overcome his injuries from motor vehicle accidents, he can relate to patients at a deeper level and understand that pain can be experienced even when everything seems perfectly normal. Pain can cause stress and anxiety to spike and massage can help ease the pain and promote relaxation. All his treatments are individually catered to each patient’s needs.

Harpreet Grewal, RTC, RSW

Registered Therapeutic Counsellor

Harpreet is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor and Registered Social Worker and has worked in the social services field for over 20 years. Her passion is to help people find balance in their lives and believes all areas of our life are connected and that an issue in one area can quickly impact another and affect our overall well-being. Harpreet is dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion in her practice and uses an integrative approach to best suit the needs of each client. Harpreet provides therapy from a trauma-informed perspective and specializes in helping people cope with struggles relating to stress management, self-esteem, relational issues, and coping with symptoms of depression and anxiety. She is committed to creating a space for you in which you feel safe and can move forward at your own pace.
